Building on the beloved tradition of visiting holiday storefronts, Google and American Express are unveiling digital murals for purchase in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston to encourage consumers to shop at small businesses this holiday season. The murals – painted by local artists – will feature more than 25 products sourced solely from small local businesses. Using Google Lens, consumers will be able to browse and purchase the murals from their phone. The locations of the murals will be revealed later in November. As part of their partnership, the companies are also pledging to help thousands of small businesses improve their digital presence this holiday season by offering a free Grow with Google digital workshop for small businesses.
SHOP SMALL x BYBLACK MARKETPLACE
As an extension of ByBlack, a national business directory and certification program for black-owned businesses developed in partnership with the United States Black Chambers, Inc., American Express launches the online marketplace Shop Small x ByBlack powered by Showfields. Additionally, American Express will be opening a pop-up ByBlack Bazaar store with ByBlack certified businesses in Los Angeles on December 11.e and 12e, prioritizing black-owned businesses that do not have a physical physical presence to help them connect with customers this holiday season.
