Today’s appointments expand the board of directors from Nuvei to eight members and bring the board closer to its 30% gender diversity goal. female representation by the end of 2023.
Maren Lau is Meta’s Regional Vice President for Latin America, helping brands leverage the company’s platforms to drive long-term business results in the region and prepare for the Metaverse, the next evolution of the link social. She also leads the regional teams to advance Meta’s mission – to empower people to build communities and bring the world together – with positive economic and social impact in the region. Previously, Maren was a founding partner and CMO of digital marketing firm IMS, where she built a regional business scaling sales and marketing strategies for leading global technology companies in Latin America.
Tim Dent is a former executive with over 20 years of online gaming experience. Previously, he was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at DraftKings, joining the company at a very early stage and developing these roles as it grew rapidly. At DraftKings, Mr. Dent also built and oversaw the legal and legislative affairs departments, risk management and payment functions. Prior to joining DraftKings, Mr. Dent held several management positions at Everest Gaming, a once leading online poker and casino operator in Europe. During his tenure at Everest, he led numerous efforts at all stages of the company’s lifecycle, from start-up to rapid revenue growth and market expansion, and its transition from an environment unregulated operating environment to a regulated environment.
