âWe have placed great emphasis on consumer preferences and ignored manufacturer feedback when developing the new color palette,â said Ruthanne Hanlon, national color and design manager for PPG. âIn the past, hangar builders often viewed color as an afterthought. This is no longer the case. Visitors to Shed Builder Expo 2021 will have the opportunity to learn how color can be used as an effective sales tool.
PPG’s participation in this flagship event will include an educational seminar titled âColor Trends for the Rebate Industryâ. Presented by Hanlon on September 30 at 9:00 a.m., the seminar will describe the emerging shift in the color preferences of shed buyers and how shed paint manufacturers such as PPG are approaching this shift for the benefit of builders.
âThe way hangars are used has changed over the past few years,â Hanlon said. âIt’s not uncommon for a shed to serve as a home office or perhaps additional living space. Along with this change, consumers have expressed a growing interest in having the color of their shelters correlate with their purpose and that they also work with the color schemes of their homes.
