Stefanini’s shopping spree continues; It acquires Ecglobal

Brazilian IT company Stefanini continued its shopping spree by acquiring regional digital agency Ecglobal.

Ecglobal, based in São Paulo, specializes in intelligence and data analysis. The company has offices in Mexico, Argentina, the United States and Great Britain. Its clients include Nestlé, Natura, BRF, HBO and Itaú.

The agency manages forums and online communities, in addition to developing links with consumers through social networks. It claims to have over a million active consumers on its platform, including 600,000 in Brazil. Each year, it publishes an index of the most popular Brazilian consumer brands.

“Ecglobal will complement our digital offering,” Stefanini said in a press release, referring to its own social platform called the Haus ecosystem.

“We found a synergy at first sight,” said Bruno Caloi, M&A director at Stefanini. “We are considering the possibility of expanding the activities of the current digital marketing platform provided by Stefanini Haus with great cross-selling potential between customer bases.”

The merger will make it easier to generate intelligence and analyze data, said Stefanini, whose annual revenue topped US$1 billion last year.

This is Stefanini’s second acquisition this year, during which the company expects to achieve 25% growth. The company has acquired 11 companies since 2020, when it unveiled an exclusive budget to buy smaller competitors in the IT services sector.
