Optovue SOLIX OCT.
The latest perimetry, OCT and dry eye treatments will be featured on the BOC Ophthalmic Instruments booth at the O-Show later this week.
The company is expected to have a strong presence at the show to be held in Sydney on May 27-28, showcasing the latest from manufacturers Topcon, SBM and Optovue.
New Optovue OCT Models
According to BOC, Optovue USA is at the forefront of OCT, with one of the most innovative ranges since 2007.
Optovue’s latest models include the i-Scan 80, i-Vue 80, Avanti XR3 and its most advanced SOLIX Ultra-High-Speed FullRange OCT is now commercially available.
The multifunctional Optovue SOLIX is said to provide flawless images of retinal structures with 16mm wide x 6mm retinal scans. Full Range Anterior Segment Imaging captures the entire anterior chamber with 18mm wide scans.
Multi-volume fusion and 3D projection artifact removal (PAR) produce OCT-Angiography images with unprecedented image clarity, BOC said.
Fully automated non-mydriatic fundus cameras
The innovative Crystalvue NFC-600 and 700 fully automated non-mydriatic retinal cameras would capture flawless high-resolution fundus images with just a touch.
“The NFC-700 is a compact, self-contained retinal camera with an integrated Windows 10 touchscreen tablet and plenty of storage for approximately 100,000 retinal and anterior eye images. The NFC-600 has the same functions but is designed for portability and enhanced interfaces with any Windows PC,” BOC said.
“Both of these models feature auto alignment, 3D tracking, auto shooting, selectable fixation targets, auto mounting and a host of image processing features, including cup-to-disc ratio, digital red removal, and more.”
Topcon Henson 9000 Visual Field Analyzer
The Topcon Henson Perimeter 9000 has what BOC describes as an ergonomic, compact design ideal for space-constrained and low-maintenance environments.
Henson perimeters have been manufactured in the UK since 1986. Popular among UK eyecare professionals, they would quickly gain popularity in Australia.
A ZATA 24-2 Standard Threshold test can typically be performed with the highest sensitivity in less than three minutes, or the ZATA Rapid Threshold typically about two minutes per eye, reducing patient fatigue and maximizing test reliability and accuracy. test, BOC said.
“Additional testing options also include the ZATA Standard and ZATA Fast 10-2 and Esterman binocular driving tests. ZATA uses the standard printout format for universal compatibility and test data comparable to reference perimeters.
New SBM Activa
BOC will also showcase the latest from SBM, which it describes as a world leader in dry eye diagnostic technology and other products.
New to the SBM product line is the Activa, a non-invasive eye mask that provides complete automatic heating and compression technology in a single device, effective on meibomian gland dysfunction associated with evaporation of tear film.
Activa relieves evaporative dry eye symptoms by melting the meibum and unclogging the glands to restore the natural flow of meibum and increase the functionality of the meibomian glands.
“This unique device mechanically warms and massages the eyelids, is quick and painless, requires no consumables, and after each use the mask can be easily disinfected,” BOC added.
